  • Kickstarting a Group

Starting a new club or organization can be a lot of work. Turns out breathing new life into an existing one can be a lot of work too. That being said, Residence Hall Council succesfully pulled off an event tonight. 40+ people now have awesome red tie dye shirts for next weekends Red-Out Homecoming basketball game. Hopefully people are jealous of everyone that’s rocking one and will want onenof their own. (Rumor has it an encore could be arranged if there’s interest). Great cap to a Saturday that started with the Community Leadership Summit….great to see so many younger students with an interest in taking on a leadership role on campus.

  • Campus Visitors

It was exciting to go to the accreditation meeting this week and hear how truly excited the administrators from other schools were about our level of student involvement and interaction on campus. They knew that the ASSMU President sat on the board, but were suprised that there are 9 students, and pretty much awestruck that those students get to vote. It was great to hear the amazing things the accreditors had to say about Ginny-Beth and the Office of Campus Life, and then to have the students echo those sentiments with comments of their own. We just need to make sure none of them come back and steal GB for their own schools.

  • I’m so glad that this week is almost over. The theme for this weekend is going to be catch up and get ahead.

  • Been a long week already with work, school, internship, Residence Hall Council, and homework.  Walked in to the dining hall today to find that the special was roast beef with horseradish…which completely made my day.  Get a Starbucks on my way to work, and I might just make it the day and a half that I have to make it to the weekend.
